There goes my resolve to post every week.

A very eventful month with lots to update.

We finally finalized our plans to India. YEAH!. We will be celebrating Abhay's first birthday there. Abhay and I are also going to spend a couple of months in India after Sampath comes back.

WE HAVE TEETH! Abhay finally got his two upper front teeth after a couple of weeks of real struggle including real bad nasal congestion.

Abhay is also moving up to the next level in the little gym class. I was a little apprehensive at first as all the kids are older than him and the class size is much bigger. But last week we went for the first class and Abhay loved it. All the kids are mobile in the class so I did not feel so bad as Abhay was not the only one not paying attention and sitting down docile in the circle. He also had all these kids that are walking to look upto and I am hoping that is an incentive for him to start walking soon as he seems very taken up by older walking boys.

Last weekend was super busy with 3 sets of cousins and their families visiting us. We took Abhay with us to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms as well as do some site seeing. Saturday was a little rough as he refused to eat any food and survived eating cereals. I can forsee our plane ride to India being that way. Sunday was better as we decided to feed him lunch at home and then head out.

Abhay loved being outdoors and he loved having so many people to play with. Here is a clip of Abhay all bundled up and playing in the grass.




Yesterday was the first time Abhay stood without holding any support for almost 15 seconds. I was so thrilled to see it.

On one of the days last week, I was putting Abhay to sleep for his nap and I realised he rarely smiles in his sleep now and never when he is about to fall asleep. I think that phase of his infant hood is gone now.

Abhay will be 10 months tomorrow.

He has been doing a few different things these few weeks.
For a week or so he was smacking his lips and then he stopped.
This past week he has been doing his version of head banging when any music is played or when he wants music to be played.
He puckers his lips and makes a smacking sound when he eats anything sour.
